CM Punk and a WWE Hall of Famer have recently interacted over social media, debating what would’ve happened during their dream match.
CM Punk faced many WWE legends before his wrestling retirement in 2014. There is one match-up that looks like it will forever remain a dream encounter.
Around 2013, rumours arose surrounding a match between Punk and Stone Cold Steve Austin. While Austin never returned for this bout, fans have still debated which outspoken star would’ve walked away with the win.
CM Punk has recently revealed that he thinks he would’ve defeated Austin easily. After a fan asked CM Punk about the dream match on Twitter, he revealed that he would’ve picked up the victory in a matter of seconds.
Describing the potential encounter as a one-move match, Punk tweeted:
“Would’ve been short. GTS, 1 2 3.”
“I see. @CMPunk You did say that. Damn. Complete delusion. I had us at a 60 minute time limit match at the Rosemont Horizon. Right there in Chicago. Chi Town. The Windy City. Helluva match. Caught you with a Stunner at 59:56. You did not kick out. Bottom line.”
Punk didn’t argue with Austin’s assessment. Instead, he replied with a Gif asking “Say what?”
