Here’s a recap of what went down at ROH Death Before Dishonor, including former NXT stars in action and some title changes.
Alex Zayne, who was formerly in NXT as Ari Sterling, won the 15-man Honor Rumble to earn an ROH World Title shot.
Other recently released names on the ROH card were Taylor Rust (formerly Tyler Rust) and Jake Atlas, who had a singles match against each other, which was won by Rust.
In the first title change of the show, Josh Woods beat Jonathan Gresham to win the ROH Pure Championship, after Gresham had held the title for 385 days as the first champion since 2006.
Rok-C then went on to beat Miranda Alize in the final of the tournament to determine the new ROH Women’s World Champion.
In the show’s main event, Bandido retained the ROH World Championship in a four-way over EC3, Brody King and Demonic Flamita.
PWInsider reports that ROH Death Before Dishonor may have been the promotion’s last event in front of a live crowd this year as the promotion is likely to tape future shows on a closed set due to COVID-19.
ROH will make decisions on a “week-to-week basis” when it comes to the decision to potentially hold shows in front of crowds again.
The former NXT talents on the show – Zayne, Rust and Atlas – are all set to work the promotion’s next set of TV tapings this week.
