In case there was any doubt regarding the future of the NXT Cruiserweight Championship, that was put to bed at tonight’s (January 4) NXT New Year’s Evil show.
NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes opened the show against NXT Cruiserweight Champion Roderick Strong in a title unification match.
Carmelo Hayes wound up picking up the victory, continuing his North American title reign, and making him the final NXT Cruiserweight Champion.
