Brock Lesnar has recalled ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin not wanting to work with him during his WWE rookie year.
Austin famously no-showed Raw taping in 2002 after being informed that the plan was for him to lose to The Next Big Thing on the show. Appearing on the Pat McAfee Show, Lesnar noted that he didn’t hold a grudge against Austin afterwards.
Believing that business is business, Lesnar noted:
“I got to wrestle Hogan, I got to wrestle The Rock, the Undertaker, Ric Flair, but I didn’t get to wrestle Steve (Austin). And I was thinking about this actually today because you (Pat McAfee) and I had dinner and talking about Steve and whatnot, and doing the ‘whats’.
“I understand from a business aspect, at the time, Steve left and didn’t wanna work with me. And it was probably the right decision for him at the time. I don’t hold a grudge against it at all. Business is business. I had a lot of good mentors coming up in the business.”

Ironically, Austin recently admitted that if he was to have a match against anybody on the current WWE roster, he’d want to face off against The Beast.
Lesnar has also recently shared his thoughts on the current WWE locker-room, offering some advice to the company’s younger stars.
