Hangman Page Breaks Silence Following AEW World Title Loss AEW

Hangman Page has now reacted to his AEW World Championship loss at Sunday’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view.

In the closing moments of the event, CM Punk pinned Page to become the fifth ever AEW World Champion, ending Page’s title reign at 197 days.

The former champ has taken to Twitter to thank AEW fans for supporting his vision.

Reflecting on his title reign, Paige wrote:

“i’ve had a while to reflect on my time as aew champion now that it’s come to an end. thank you all, not for supporting me, but for supporting the vision. it’s not about the gold or the glory, it’s about the common love and dignity with which we treat each other. change the world.”

Cm Punk is now the third wrestler to have held both the AEW World and WWE Championships during their career. Double or Nothing marked Punk’s first championship match victory since defending his WWE Championship against Ryback in January 2013.

Punk has won all but one of his AEW matches since joining the company.
