Matt Hardy Believes Claudio Castagnoli Will Be Better Utilized In AEW Than WWE AEW

Matt Hardy believes that Claudio Castagnoli will be better utilized in AEW than he was in WWE.

Claudio Castagnoli became the newest acquisition for All Elite Wrestling with his debut at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

Claudio, then known as Cesaro, spent 11 years with WWE before his contract expired earlier this year.

Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, one half of the Hardys discussed why he believes Castagnoli will be a great asset for the Blackpool Combat Club and AEW.

Hardy said:

“He’s a guy who really gets it, besides just being a great technical wrestler and scientific wrestler, and he has great strikes, very creative, and very unique in the way he does things. On top of that, he speaks so many different languages it’s insane, but he also would get how to work with Broken Matt or Woken Matt, he got the whole gig, and he gets how to work with different characters, as well.”

There have been many former WWE stars who have made the jump to All Elite Wrestling to gain success, such as injured AEW World Champion CM Punk and Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley.

Hardy continued to explain why he believes Claudio Castagnoli will gain similar success and be better utilized in AEW than he was in WWE, saying:

“He will probably get the greatest utilization he’s had in a very long time here in AEW. I think he truly does have the complete package, and I am very excited to see him in AEW, I think he’s going to really enjoy his time here.”

Castagnoli defeated Zack Sabre Jr. at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door and went on to be on the winning side of the second Blood and Guts Match on last Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.
