Mandy Rose Rejects Comparisons To Trish Stratus WWE

NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose has rejected comparisons to a WWE Hall of Famer.

Mandy Rose has seen the best run of her career since moving back to the NXT 2.0 brand and starting her Toxic Attraction group with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne.

Since her start with WWE during Tough Enough, Rose has received comparisons to WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus due to her looks and transition from fitness modeling to professional wrestling.

Appearing on the latest edition of The Bump, the NXT Women’s Champion was asked about the comparisons to Trish.

She said:

“Opportunity, honestly. I’m given the opportunity, and without getting too deep, I’m able to showcase what I have, and I’m able to get the time. I’m having these longer matches, and I’m able to show my true potential; at the end of the day, I have it all. We said that from the beginning, obviously, all the way from Tough Enough, everyone’s been saying, ‘She could be the next Trish Stratus,’ all that, but it’s like, you need to have that opportunity to be able to show and be able to showcase your maximum potential. There will never be another Mandy Rose.”

Mandy Rose has reigned as NXT Women’s Champion for 258+ days, which is tied for the fifth longest reign in the title’s history.

As previously noted, WWE announced a 20-woman battle royal to determine the top contender for Rose’s championship on the July 19 edition of NXT 2.0.
