Chris Jericho turned back the hands of time in the main event of last week’s AEW Dynamite show, when he donned his Lionheart attire and entrance music for his main event clash with Jon Moxley for the Interim AEW World Championship.
Jericho came up short in the main event, before he and the Jericho Appreciation Society attacked Moxley and the Blackpool Combat Club after the match, leading to the returning CM Punk making the save and fighting them off.
Jericho didn’t come out of the match unscathed though, as he took to Twitter last night to subject our eyes to the horror of a close up photo of his injured foot, showcasing that his big toenail had been completely ripped off as a result of the encounter with Moxley.
He wrote:
Wrestling is fake, right? @AEW
The Jericho Appreciation Society is still locked into a rivalry with the Blackpool Combat Club, seemingly setting up a clash between Jericho and Bryan Danielson at AEW All Out next month.
