SmackDown got a little more Toxic tonight as Toxic Attraction made their WWE SmackDown debut in the Women’s Tag Team Tournament.
Toxic Attraction (Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin) made their debut taking on Natalya and Sonya Deville.
With Bayley, IYO SKY and Dakota Kai in ringside fan seats behind Michael Cole and Pat McAfee, there was an added element of story throughout the match.
Amusingly, Bayley could be heard heckling Michael Cole despite the fact she was obviously not mic’d.
Bayley also helped Pat McAfee sort out which member of Toxic Attraction was which, to which McAfee noted that Bayley knew more about the NXT talent than he did.
With the crowd fired up for a Natalya hot-tag, she took out Jacy Jayne with a set of vicious moves including attempting to get Jayne in a Sharpshooter but no dice as Dolin tagged to score a nearfall.
With a distraction outside the ring as Deville and Jayne brawled near Bayley & Co, Dolin and Natalya were still doing battle in the ring.
After a tag unbeknownst to Natalya, Dolin and Jayne squeaked out a victory over a shocked Natalya.
Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah will take on Toxic Attraction in the semi-final round of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament on the SmackDown side, while Raw’s semi-final is Kai and SKY vs Alexa Bliss and Asuka.
