WWE continued to tease a major character change on tonight’s edition (October 14) of SmackDown.
When a backstage segment saw Sonya Deville insult Liv Morgan and say she “doesn’t have what it takes,” Morgan appeared and snapped!
Waging a vicious assault against Deville, it ended in daredevil moves backstage!
While Liv battered Sonya around in the interview area and beyond, she eventually cleared a table (sans purple clipboard that appeared to be intentionally stuck there perhaps to serve as a mark for the spot) stacked Sonya on the table and took a big flying leap on top of her!
Liv Morgan lost the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at WWE’s latest premium live event, Extreme Rules.
While Morgan was being tapped out by Ronda Rousey to lose her championship at the end of the match, she seemed to have a purposefully creepy smile that was replicated at the conclusion of the spot on SmackDown.
With Michael Cole on commentary referencing the frightening grin and the slightly darker turn of her character, it seems that something major is about to happen with Liv Morgan!
Later in the show, it was announced that the pair would face off in an official match on next week’s edition of SmackDown.
Tonight’s SmackDown kicked off with pandemonium in the parking lot with Karrion Kross, Scarlett and Drew McIntyre and moved forward into a fascinating segment between The Bloodline.
Also, a WWE sought out Triple H and attempted to quit while also another WWE star returned to his former character and the show closed with an emotional promo from Bray Wyatt.
