An AEW wrestler has recently declared that they are “better than Road Dogg” in a Tweet that, naturally, caused much discussion.
In a likely response to Road Dogg’s recent claims that he “was a better sports entertainer” than Bret Hart, Matt Menard had a response of his own, stating:
“Daddy Magic is a better Sports Entertainer than Road Dogg.”
Daddy Magic Matt Menard was met by many responses calling into doubt the veracity of this claim, though would find support from fellow FTR’s Dax Harwood:
And this whole time I thought I didn’t like you 😍

This latest instalment in the who’s better than who debate comes days after Road Dogg spoke on his Oh You Didn’t Know podcast.
Comparing himself to The Hitman, Road Dogg said:
“I never saw what the big deal was with Bret Hart as a performer. I never understood it.
“He was a great worker, and I thought about saying good, but he was a great worker. He worked better than me, 10-fold. Worked circles around me.
“I think I was a better sports entertainer than Bret was and I think that’s where the money is.”
Road Dogg, real name Brian James, is the current WWE Senior Vice President of Live Events.
He took over the role from Jeff Jarrett in August 2022.
Jarrett would go on to become AEW’s Director of Business Development on November 2.
