Former Pinnacle member, Shawn Spears, has shared his thoughts on the situation involving CM Punk after the infamous AEW All Out media scrum.
During a virtual signing with K & S WrestleFest, Shawn Spears shared his take on the situation.
He said:
“(It’s) sad, overall sad. That’s what I think. It’s sad. I wish it didn’t happen.
“That’s the other thing too, I wasn’t there.
“Most things do happen publicly, but I wasn’t there and I don’t have any first-hand knowledge.”
It is a sad, sad, situation. And it has only gotten more absurd after the November 23 edition of AEW Dynamite saw The Elite throw major shade at CM Punk.
The second round in the Trios Championship Best of 7 series saw multiple references to CM Punk and the alleged events that transpired backstage after All Out.

Shawn Spears returned to AEW during the October 13 edition of Rampage where he teamed with FTR against Kaun, Brian Cage and Toa Liona
Spears returned on the prior night’s AEW Dynamite show in Canada.
Spears returned using his popular ‘Perfect 10’ gimmick that made him popular during his time on NXT and SmackDown.
In a post-show segment, Spears revealed that he had been away from the ring due to a family bereavement.
