Just days after WWE recorded a record-breaking episode WWE Raw in Cincinnati, the company have done it again!
The January 16 episode of WWE Raw was listed as the highest-grossing edition of Raw in Cincinnati history, according to reports.
Fightful has now revealed that the January 20 episode of WWE SmackDown, which took place in Detroit, also hit a high.
Sean Ross Sapp revealed the news on Twitter, stating:
“According to tonight’s internal WWE live events reports, Smackdown in Detroit was WWE’s highest-grossing Smackdown in the city ever.
“A similar company record for WWE Raw in Cincy was achieved this week.”
The day before SmackDown came to the Little Caesars Arena, the building was evacuated due to an ammonia leak.
On the episode itself, as WWE builds up to Royal Rumble on January 28, we saw the start of the SmackDown Tag Title Tournament.
There were also further developments within The Bloodline, including worrying time for Honorary Uce Sami Zayn.
WWE stars also paid tribute to the passing of Jay Briscoe during the show, with Michael Cole also acknowledging Briscoe’s death on commentary.
