WWE have made their latest signing, with it being reported that former NWA star Colby Corino had signed with the company.
Corino’s contract with the NWA came up at the beginning of the year, with WWE reportedly having major interest in signing him, even bringing him in for a private solo tryout.
Corino is expected to start with WWE as soon as early March, with him set to finish up remaining independent dates.
One of those dates took place at last night’s DEADLOCK Pro Wrestling event, when Corino challenge DPW Champion Lucky Ali to a title vs career match at DPW’s You Already Know event.
Naturally, Ali picked up the victory in the bout, bringing an end to Corino’s career in DPW ahead of his reported impending WWE arrival.
Corino isn’t the only WWE signing set to start with NXT soon, as Dragon Lee is also set to begin with the promotion next month following Visa issues.
There has been a potential spoiler on WWE’s plans to introduce Dragon Lee to NXT, which you can see here.
