The ROH Television Championship was up for grabs in the opener for the March 9 edition of Ring of Honor TV.
Samoa Joe opened the second episode of the new era of ROH TV, defending the Ring of Honor World Television Championship against the former champion Tony Deppen.
In a hard hitting affair, Joe defeated Deppen to continue his reign. Following the bout, Joe issued a challenge to anyone to step up to the champion.
In a bit of surprise, it was none other than Mark Briscoe who stepped up and came out to answer the challenge.
After greeting the long time rival of The Briscoes, Mark stated that the TV Title is his destiny and he wants the next shot.
Samoa Joe responded that any day he gets to have a fist fight with a Briscoe is a good day, so he accepted the challenge.
This seems to likely set up Joe vs. Briscoe for the ROH TV Title at the upcoming Supercard of Honor event on Friday, March 31.
