Since Triple H took over as the head of WWE creative back in Juley of last year, many WWE stars have found themselves undergoing character changes.
These include returns to previous gimmicks from NXT, such as Max Dupri returning to LA Knight, Doudrop returning to Piper Niven and Nikki A.S.H returning to Nikki Cross.
One main roster star who many expected Triple H to repackage is Butch, the former Pete Dunne, who is a member of the Brawling Brutes stable on SmackDown with Sheamus and Ridge Holland.
Well, per WrestleVotes speaking to GiveMeSport, Triple H changing Butch back into Pete Dunne is something that is ‘in the works’, and is expected to be done before the end of the year.
They said:
Absolutely, I was told that it’s in the works. When Hunter came back, I was told that Pete Dunne was due to become Pete Dunne, but somebody said, to wait because The Brawling Brutes were catching on.
When Pete Dunne returns, it won’t be as a member of the Brawling Brutes. I’m sure he’ll be back by the end of this year.
Butch was called up to the main roster as Butch back in February 2022 following NXT’s change to NXT 2.0.
