Roman Reigns’ 1000-Day Celebration on SmackDown has drawn an incredible viewership numbers.
The viewership figure and demo rating for Friday’s (June 2) edition of WWE SmackDown on FOX has been revealed.
Per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, SmackDown drew 2.563 million viewers. This is up from the May 26 edition that drew 2.158 million viewers.
This is the highest total viewership for the program since the December 30, 2022 episode that featured John Cena’s return.
In the 18-49 demographic, Friday’s show scored a huge 0.73 rating. This is up from the week prior that scored 0.52 rating.
This is the highest demo rating for SmackDown since the Christmas 2020 episode that had a NFL lead-in. Not including that week, it is the highest demo since the March 20, 2020 edition, which was the first pandemic show with no fans.
WWE ranked #1 across broadcast primetime and cable originals in the demo for the night.
The show featured the 1000-Day Celebration for Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, which had “The Tribal Chief” confronted by The Usos before Solo Sikoa showed his allegiance by delivering a Samoan Spike to his brother Jimmy Uso for Reigns.
Specifically for that segment, Thurston added:
The Roman Reigns and Bloodline segment, which ran about the last 20 minutes of the show was the high point.
The final quarter averaged 2.9M viewers, the highest of any quarter-hour I have data for, for any wrestling show, since early 2022.
Also, LA Knight defeated Montez Ford to qualify for the Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match, while Zelina Vega defeated Lacey Evans to qualify for the Women’s titular Ladder Match.
