An update has emerged on an injured WWE star who has been spotted in Detroit, Michigan ahead of SummerSlam 2023.
When it was previously reported that Bobby (Robert) Roode was in town for SummerSlam, there was a lot of speculation about Roode returning to the ring at Saturday’s (August 5) premium live event.
The real reason why Roode is in Detroit has now seemingly been revealed.
Per PWInsider, Roode will be helping out as a producer for SummerSlam. It was also noted that Roode will also be at Raw on Monday, serving in this role.
Roode hasn’t wrestled since June 2022 and has undergone multiple neck surgeries during his WWE hiatus.
The former US Champion took to social media in May to confirm that he had undergone a C4/5 cervical fusion, following his previous C5/6 fusion in November 2022.
One name that has been reportedly discussed for a return soon is Randy Orton, but it seems his status has changed ahead of this Saturday’s premium live event, which you can read here.
