A current AEW star has slammed the announced bracket for the vacant AEW World Tag Team Championship which was revealed yesterday.
The AEW World Tag Team Championship was vacated following Revolution, when Sting and Darby Allin retained the titles in Sting’s final match against the Young Bucks.
Following Sting’s retirement, Khan announced that the titles had been vacated, and a tournament would commence to crown the new champions at AEW Dynasty.
The bracket for the tournament was officially unveiled on last night’s Rampage show, with the Young Bucks, Private Party, Undisputed Kingdom, Best Friends, Don Callis Family, FTR, Top Flight, Big Bill & Ricky Starks, the Infantry and the House of Black set to take part in the bracket.
Reacting to the bracket, former AEW World Tag Team Champion Austin Gunn didn’t seem too pleased that he and Colten weren’t featured in the tournament.
He simply wrote:
what the f**k is this….
The Gunns defeated the Acclaimed to capture the AEW World Tag Team Championship on Dynamite last year, before losing the titles to FTR in a titles vs AEW career match.
They have since joined up with Jay White and Bullet Club Gold, capturing the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship.
Bullet Club Gold turned heel on this week’s AEW Big Business show, turning on the Acclaimed and breaking up the Bang Bang Scissor Gang.
what the fuck is this….? https://t.co/SlGaDLoszb
