The AEW World Championship match at AEW Dynasty has now been revealed after Swerve Strickland won tonight’s main event on Dynamite.
In the AEW Dynamite main event, Konosuke Takeshita went to war with Swerve Strickland over who would become the number one contender to Samoa Joe’s AEW World title.
Despite Konosuke Takeshita kicking out of the Swerve Stomp, another Swerve Stomp and a Big Pressure finally put him away with Samoa Joe shown backstage watching the match.
Immediately there was an interview with Samoa Joe with Renee Paquette where he swore to have a face-to-face contract signing on next week’s episode of Dynamite.
Samoa Joe will face Swerve Strickland at AEW Dynasty on Sunday, April 21, 2024.
Elsewhere confirmed for Dynasty on tonight’s Dynamite, the TBS Championship will be on the line as Julia Hart defends her title against Willow Nightingale.
Nightingale won the opportunity tonight by beating Kris Statlander, Skye Blue and the competitor who she pinned, Anna Jay, in a match to determine who would get a title shot.
