10 Embarrassing WWE Bloopers That Actually Aired in 2020

4. Lashley forgets to microphone (August 31, Raw Talk)

It’s Raw talk again! What a silly show that is with all it’s accidental disaster mentioning.

Thankfully this blooper is far more tame, but it still involved Charly Caruso, even if she wasn’t responsible for said blooper.

The August 31 guests were MVP, Shelton Benjamin and Lashley fo the Hurt Business, and when it came to Lashley’s turn to speak, he forgot how to human, and began speaking nowhere near his microphone for several seconds before Charly was forced to intervene and ask Bobbles to please talk into the microphone.

This moment was made better by MVP clearly corpsing behind his hand while doing his best to remain in character. Stick to the wrestling and having weird sisters, Bobby.

3. NXT Stand-Ins (NXT TakeOver 31)

Now this one is just plain weird.

As you may have noticed, there has been a global pandemic this year, and one of the less serious consequences of this was that both Wade Barrett and Beth Phoenix were unable to attend NXT TakeOver 31 in person, and instead commentated from their homes.

To combat this, WWE made the unusual decision to have human stand ins sit at the commentary desk, and while that’s already a bit odd, the people they chose made it even more bizarre.

Beth Phoenix is well known for having long, blonde hair, and so naturally WWE chose someone with long, purple-red hair to sit at the desk and pretend to be her. This was noticed by pretty much every single person watching, and understandably they were all incredibly confused.

Just say Beth and Wade couldn’t make it but will be commentating from home. We will understand.

2. Big E Decapitates Corey Graves (Money in the Bank)

If I was going to a desert island with someone from WWE, I’d probably want it to be Big E. He just seems like such a fun guy.

Anyway, enough about my fantasies, we’re here to talk about bloopers.

You will have noticed during the first half of the year that Big E would often throw his coat out of the ring, often at commentator Corey Graves, no doubt because of some in-joke between the two men.

However, at Money in the Bank, Big E put a big extra into the throw, which resulted in Corey being knocked out of his chair and his headset fell off. Everyone in the ring thought it was hilarious, but Big E has since revealed that one man who didn’t was Vince McMahon, who was most displeased.

Who wants comedy, anyway?

1. Stone Cold testicles (March 16, Raw)

Now I’m sure we’ve all wanted to kick Byron Saxton in the testicles at some point, whether it’s because of some of his commentary, or because of his frankly awful finisher he used during his time in NXT.

Thankfully, we no longer have to fantasise about that, because on the March 16 episode of Raw, Stone Cold did the job for us. The Texas Rattlesnake was being interviewed by Saxton, who apparently has never seen a Stone Cold interview before, because he was immediately hit with a stunner.

Unfortunately for Byron, Stone Cold’s aim was off, and instead of being hit in the gut, got Steve Austin’s full boot right in the scrotum. This was made worse when a beer can thrown into the ring for Austin to catch was misjudged, and it his Saxton in the eye. Poor guy.
