6 Surprises At WWE Raw In Chicago

The July 6 edition of WWE Raw will take place from Chicago, Illinois and will have a lot of eyes on the evening.

On top of the big stars of Monday Night Raw being in attendance, Sami Zayn is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes in Chicago.

With the top prize on SmackDown being up for grabs, there is no telling who will show up and what will happen on this huge episode of Raw.

Here are six potential surprises for WWE Raw in Chicago.

6. Stephanie Vaquer Is Back

At the WWE WrestleMania 42 night one premium live event, Liv Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer to win the WWE Women’s World Championship.

While it looked like ‘La Primera’ was set to challenge to regain her gold, Vaquer was attacked by Morgan and The Judgment Day on the April 27 episode of WWE Raw.

Since then, there have been some reports indicating that Vaquer could be on her way back to WWE sometime in the near future.

Vaquer returning in Chicago could set the stage for the WWE Women’s World Championship picture to finally get interesting again with IYO SKY waiting in the wings for Liv at SummerSlam 2026.

5. Drew McIntyre Makes His Return

There is no denying that Drew McIntyre is one of the top stars in WWE, but fans have not been seeing him on the company’s television as of late.

At WWE WrestleMania 42 night one, McIntyre lost to Jacob Fatu in an unsanctioned match. Taking time off to film a new movie, new reports have circulated that McIntyre may be on his way back in the coming weeks.

Just in time for the road to WWE SummerSlam 2026, McIntyre could make his presence felt on Monday Night Raw from Chicago.

‘The Scottish Warrior’ could show up in time for the Undisputed WWE Championship match between Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes, and throw his name in the hat as a potential next challenger for the winner on July 6.

4. Oba Femi Takes His Title Shot In Chicago

At WWE Night of Champions 2026, Oba Femi defeated Jey Uso to win the King of the Ring final.

Thanks to this win, Femi received a guaranteed shot at the world title of his choosing at WWE SummerSlam 2026. However, this will not be the case this year.

On the June 29 episode of WWE Raw, Brock Lesnar made his return and attacked Femi, which led to ‘The Ruler’ challenging ‘The Beast’ for a match at SummerSlam 2026.

Now set for a Hell In A Cell against Lesnar on August 1 or 2, Femi could choose to take his King of the Ring title shot in Chicago and face Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship.

3. New York Knicks All Star Guard Jalen Brunson Shows Up To Have Danhausen’s Back Against The Judgment Day

Over the past few weeks, Danhausen has found himself in the middle of a feud with The Judgment Day.

After cursing both Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh, The Judgment Day gave Danhausen “human monies” to curse Oba Femi in the King of the Ring semi-final, which he did not do.

This led to Danhausen cursing and costing Liv Morgan the Queen of the Ring final as well as JD and ‘Dirty Dom’ stealing his custom Knicks jersey given to him by the NBA Champions.

With all the references and his match with McDonagh at Madison Square Garden for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, it would be a nice surprise to see the Knicks All Star guard Jalen Brunson showing up to support Danhausen against The Judgment Day.

2. LA Knight Joins Forces With Solo Sikoa Against The Bloodline

No one has been more vocal about their disdain and hatred for The Bloodline as of late quite like LA Knight.

‘The Megastar’ has witnessed this recent Bloodline reunion and expressed his disgust each and every week on WWE TV.

This has led to his goals and intentions crossing paths with those of Solo Sikoa, who has drawn the line in the sand with his family after being invited to come home to The Bloodline.

Knight turning heel and joining forces with Sikoa makes some sense, but it would still be shocking to see the ultra-popular ‘Megastar’ join a former Bloodline member against his old stablemates.

1. CM Punk Returns To Attack Cody Rhodes

A lot of the hype and expectation around the July 6 episode of WWE Raw is that many fans believe CM Punk will be making his return.

‘The Best In The World’ has been absent from WWE television over the past few months since losing the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42.

Back on the WWE Raw after WrestleMania 42, Punk was confronted by his friend Cody Rhodes, who teased a potential showdown for the Undisputed WWE Championship between them.

If Rhodes is able to win the gold from Sami Zayn, it might be Punk waiting for him with a vicious attack that would show that he means business coming after the top prize on Friday Night SmackDown – even if it is against his friend.
