WWE has undergone a lot of different changes within the tag team division after several different duos were released from the company.

With several tandems leaving the promotion, there have been other tag teams that have been teasing they could go their separate ways.

Whether it be a longtime pairing or a pair of singles stars finally splitting, these duos look to be heading into different directions sooner rather than later.

Here are six WWE tag teams that could potentially split up soon.

6. Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom)

Since getting called up to the WWE main roster in 2025, Fraxiom have been one of the most impressive tag teams on Friday Night SmackDown.

Nathan Frazer and Axiom have dazzled fans with their stunning chemistry and high flying antics inside the squared circle.

While they have established themselves as one of the best duos in the WWE tag team division, Frazer and Axiom feel like they have a future as singles stars down the line.

Fraxiom splitting up from one another at some point almost feels inevitable and may come before long.

5. Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)

Following WWE WrestleMania 42, the Street Profits moved from Friday Night SmackDown to Monday Night Raw.

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins have cemented themselves as the top contenders for the World Tag Team Championship.

Ahead of their showdown with The Vision at the May 23 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, there have been signs of issues between Ford and Dawkins in regards to their feelings towards Seth Rollins.

If they fail to dethrone The Vision’s Logan Paul and Austin Theory, the Street Profits might finally decide that enough is enough and need to split up after a decade together.

4. The Culling (Shawn Spears & Niko Vance)

Over on WWE NXT, The Culling have established themselves as one of the most prominent factions on the brand.

Led by Shawn Spears, the veteran has recruited Niko Vance and Izzi Dame to his stable with this trio being in contention to win championship gold, including Dame previously reigning as Women’s North American Champion.

Despite being the leader, it seems Spears’ place at the top of The Culling may be in question thanks to the recent success of Dame.

With Vance looking to Dame for guidance and leadership, it might lead to The Culling kicking Spears to the curb in the near future.

3. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria

In 2025, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria created a tag team from the ashes of a competitive rivalry against one another.

Over the past year, it has seemed like Bayley and Lyra were close to winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on several occasions.

Despite coming so close, Valkyria and Bayley’s failures may just lead to these two finally going their separate ways.

Bayley and Lyra finally splitting might lead to a feud between the two or at least a character change for Valkyria who might be in need of it at this point of her career.

2. DarkState (Dion Lennox & Saquon Shugars)

Since making their WWE NXT debut in 2025, DarkState have become one of the most successful factions in the entire brand.

However, DarkState lost the NXT Tag Team Championship in February of this year and have had some dissension ever since.

Most notably, Dion Lennox and Saquon Shugars have not been able to see eye-to-eye since both men failed to dethrone Myles Borne for the NXT North American Championship.

Now that they will team to challenge for the NXT Tag Team Championship on the May 19 episode, it feels like another loss will finally lead to massive changes for DarkState where Lennox or Shugars will be excommunicated from the stable.

UPDATE – This is exactly what happened tonight on NXT, with Shugars being kicked out of the group.

1. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss

After a few weeks of back-and-forths, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss formed a tag team that developed into being best friends.

The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions took their individual successes and made it into a successful partnership.

Since losing the title in November 2025, it feels like Bliss and Flair were close to regaining the gold, but they always fell a bit short.

With both of their accomplishments as singles competitors, it feels like only a matter of time before Flair and Bliss finally split and become individual acts of their own on WWE TV.
