On Saturday, June 27, WWE will return to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the Night of Champions 2026 premium live event.

In the days leading up to the show, it should be interesting to see what kind of surprises the company can have to keep fans engaged on the road to this evening.

From new champions being crowned to returning stars, there are several intriguing ways WWE can make Raw and SmackDown “must-watch” heading into Night of Champions 2026.

Here are seven potential surprises before WWE Night of Champions 2026.

7. Solo Sikoa comes home to The Bloodline

Solo Sikoa and the MFTs are seemingly set to reignite their rivalry with the Bloodline following Clash In Italy

Following Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu in Tribal Combat at WWE Clash In Italy 2026, Solo Sikoa and The MFTs showed up in the crowd to watch the aftermath.

Despite not making a move, Sikoa caught the attention of Reigns who sent Fatu to give a message to his cousin.

On the June 12 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Fatu told Sikoa that Roman wants him to come home to The Bloodline. However, Solo denied this request and told Jacob to tell Roman to come get him.

Sikoa coming home to The Bloodline would bring a merger with The MFTs that would make the group even bigger and more dominant moving forward.

6. Rhea Ripley must relinquish WWE Women’s Championship

Rhea Ripley wrestled two matches on the WWE European Tour after suffering a knee injury at Clash in Italy

At WWE Clash In Italy 2026, Rhea Ripley defeated Jade Cargill to retain the WWE Women’s Championship.

However, Ripley seems to have suffered a serious knee injury due to this bout.

On the June 12 SmackDown, commentary stated that Ripley was injured and the company was waiting to see how her knee responds to treatment.

If this injury is worse than they thought, the company might have to force Ripley to relinquish the WWE Women’s Championship ahead of Night of Champions 2026.

5. Seth Rollins teams with Montez Ford to defeat The Vision for the World Tag Team Championships

Montez Ford has taken exception to teaming with Seth Rollins following the Street Profits’ return to WWE television

Seth Rollins has been looking to join forces with The Street Profits in an effort to take down The Vision.

However, Montez Ford wasn’t convinced and didn’t trust Rollins after years of betrayals and mistakes on his part.

It took Angelo Dawkins being taken out by Austin Theory of The Vision for Ford to put his differences with Rollins aside to stop Paul Heyman’s charges.

Rollins and Ford forming their own tandem in Dawkins’ absence to challenge and defeat The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Austin Theory for the World Tag Team Championships would be exciting to see before the company heads to Saudi Arabia.

4. Stephanie Vaquer returns for revenge on Liv Morgan

At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night One, Liv Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer to win the WWE Women’s World Championship.

Morgan and The Judgment Day then viciously attacked Vaquer and injured her rival on the April 27 edition of WWE Raw.

After being sidelined with an AC joint sprain in her shoulder, recent reports have indicated that Vaquer is expected to make her return in the near future.

“La Primera” returning to get revenge on Morgan would be a compelling story to watch unfold in the weeks ahead of WWE Night of Champions 2026.

3. All Judgment Day Final in the Queen of the Ring

Both Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez made it through to the Queen of the Ring semi-finals

Over the past few months, there have been various teases to issues arising within The Judgment Day.

Liv Morgan has taken more of a leadership role in the group and has caused some resentment showing from both Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez.

Now with both ladies being involved in the Queen of the Ring tournament, it looks like Morgan could be about to face off with her Judgment Day stablemate and best friend Rodriguez.

Considering their lengthy friendship and partnership, this will be a surprising development to finally have Liv and Raquel do battle in the Queen of the Ring Finals on June 27.

2. Oba Femi & Je’Von Evans prove the future is now by making it to the King of the Ring Finals

Je’von Evans and Oba Femi faced off several times for the NXT Championship during their time in NXT

The King of the Ring tournament has put a spotlight on the younger talent in the company.

Looking at the four competitors in the Semifinals, three of them in Oba Femi, Dominik Mysterio and Je’Von Evans are all in their 20s.

WWE could further continue this elevation for the younger stars by having two of them meet in the King of the Ring Finals.

Femi and Evans continuing their storied rivalry from NXT in the King of the Ring would be a wonderful way to showcase two of their future top stars in the company right now.

1. Sami Zayn costs Cody Rhodes the Undisputed WWE Championship against GUNTHER

Sami Zayn will be the special referee for Cody Rhodes and Gunther’s WWE Championship rematch on this week’s SmackDown

Over the past few months, Sami Zayn has been expressing his frustration due to consistent failures at becoming a world champion.

As of late, Zayn has been having some tense confrontations with his “friend” and current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

This led GUNTHER to making the decision to name Zayn as the special guest referee for his upcoming title bout against Rhodes on the June 19 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

Sami costing Cody the Undisputed WWE Championship would further develop their ongoing storyline, while giving GUNTHER a major win and switching up the dynamics on SmackDown moving forward.
