AEW All In London Casino Gauntlet Surprise Entrants

AEW is set to host it’s third All In London event tomorrow night, with the show taking place at Wembley Stadium.

This year’s event will once again feature a Casino Gauntlet match, which will see as many as 21 wrestlers enter with the hope of earning a shot at the AEW World Championship.

Every year, there are some surprise faces that appear in the match, from new signings to one off cameos from wrestlers outside the company.

Here are some potential surprise appearances we could see in this year’s Casino Gauntlet match.

Buddy Matthews

Buddy Matthews has not been seen on AEW television in well over a year, with his last match taking place at AEW’s Grand Slam Australia show last February.

It was recently reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Matthews had been cleared for an in-ring return last month.

The Casino Gauntlet would be a perfect spot for Matthews to return to AEW television and remind the world what he can do.

Jon Moxley

While not a traditional surprise like the rest of the names on this list, Jon Moxley is one current AEW name fans should keep an eye out for.

While yes, Moxley will be facing Nigel McGuinness at All In in the final of the Continental Cup, wrestlers have pulled double duty on the show before.

Moxley was a key part of the storyline between Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega for months leading up to the show, with most having slated him as the perfect first challenger for whoever wins the main event at All In.

We could see Moxley lose the Continental Championship earlier in the night before going on to win the Gauntlet to earn the first shot at Ospreay or Omega.

Zack Sabre Jr

Zack Sabre Jr is no stranger to AEW All In, as he was a surprise entrant in the 2024 Casino Gauntlet match at Wembley Stadium.

ZSJ also competed against Nigel McGuinness at Forbidden Door in London last year, as well as against Kenny Omega at this year’s Forbidden Door event back in June.

Zack was also in action at tonight’s RevPro 14th Anniversary show in Wembley arena, so he is currently in London.

It seems a no brainer that we are going to see him appear in the Gauntlet match.

Ilja Dragunov

Another name that most fans expect to be part of the Casino Gauntlet is Ilja Dragunov.

Less than two weeks ago, it was confirmed that Dragunov was no longer under contract with WWE, with him reportedly rejecting the company’s offer for an extension.

As Dragunov’s deal expired instead of him being released, he is already free and clear to appear wherever he sees fit, whenever he wants.

Ilja will likely end up in AEW, with a surprise appearance in the Casino Gauntlet match the natural debuting point for him.

Jeff Cobb

Among the names released from WWE back in April, Jeff Cobb is one that has already made appearances for AEW in the past.

A former member of the United Empire, Cobb recently returned to New Japan Pro Wrestling to join the Unbound Company stable, aligning against his former stablemates.

There will certainly be a United Empire flavour at All In, with Will Ospreay even inviting Callum Newman to the show to be in his corner for the main event.

Cobb, as a former member of the group, would make for a fun cameo in the Casino Gauntlet match.
