WWE
On the May 18 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Brock Lesnar made his return for the first time since WrestleMania 42.
Despite seemingly teasing a retirement at Mania, it looks like Lesnar will be a huge part of WWE over the next few months leading into WWE SummerSlam 2026 in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
This opens the conversation for what WWE could possibly have planned for Lesnar at “The Biggest Party of the Summer” on August 1-2.
Here are six potential Brock Lesnar WWE SummerSlam 2026 plans.
6. Finishing Trilogy With Oba Femi
At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two, Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar in what was the biggest win of his career.
After the match, Lesnar decided to remove his gloves and boots, leaving them in the middle of the ring as a signal that he was retiring.
However, Lesnar’s return on Raw saw him attack Femi and lay him out with four straight F-5s.
With “The Beast Incarnate” about to face “The Ruler” in a rematch at WWE Clash In Italy 2026, this could lead to Brock and Oba facing a third time in Lesnar’s potential retirement at WWE SummerSlam 2026 to close out their trilogy.
5. Taking Out Seth Rollins For Paul Heyman
Since returning to WWE back at SummerSlam 2025, Brock Lesnar has reunited with Paul Heyman.
After being brutally attacked and taken out, Heyman returned in March 2026 and brought Lesnar with him to get revenge on Paul Heyman.
Despite Rollins setting up Lesnar to be confronted by Oba Femi, WWE could get back around to having these two former world champions clashing with one another.
Lesnar returning could lead to him facing off with Rollins for the first time since 2019 at WWE SummerSlam 2026 in his hometown.
4. Showdown With Bron Breakker

Brock Lesnar and Bron Breakker teamed together at WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2025
Speaking of Paul Heyman, one of the newest stars that the WWE Hall of Famer has hitched his wagon to is Bron Breakker.
Since aligning with one another, Heyman has called Breakker a future world champion and WrestleMania headliner.
Wanting to further along his progression, Heyman could place Breakker as an opposition to his former charge in Brock Lesnar.
Breakker becoming the newest rival for Lesnar would be a great way for WWE to place Brock as the babyface in a feud that will see him finish off his career back home in Minneapolis at SummerSlam 2026.
3. One Last Shot At World Heavyweight Championship Against Roman Reigns

Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns’ last one-on-one match came at SummerSlam 2022
Another longtime rival of Brock Lesnar over the course of the past decade is Roman Reigns.
Coming out of WrestleMania 42, Reigns found himself back on top after defeating CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
Now that Reigns sits at the mountaintop once again, he may have to prepare for another battle with Lesnar who could look to add another world title to his illustrious resumè.
Lesnar challenging Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship feels like a more than worthy headliner for the WWE SummerSlam 2026 card.
2. Rematch With CM Punk
Back at WWE SummerSlam 2013, Brock Lesnar defeated CM Punk in a No Holds Barred Match.
This is still remembered as one of the greatest matches in the history of the event and still stands as their only singles meeting of their legendary careers.
Now that Punk is back in WWE and Lesnar’s recent return, it feels like the last opportunity for the company to deliver this showdown of two of their most iconic names on the roster.
Having these two “Paul Heyman Guys” doing battle, Punk and Lesnar could deliver something just as special as they did 13 years prior in what could be Brock’s final match of his career.
1. Retirement Match Against “The Career Killer” GUNTHER

Brock Lesnar and GUNTHER met inside the ring during the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble
When it seemed like Brock Lesnar was going to finish up his career at WWE SummerSlam 2026, a lot of fans assumed that this retirement match would be against GUNTHER.
Over the past year, “The Ring General” defeated John Cena, Goldberg and AJ Styles in their final matches.
Earning the moniker of “The Career Killer,” GUNTHER has cemented his name as the individual who will face off with these legendary stars in what will be the last match of their careers.
Wanting to add another icon to his growing list of vanquished legends, GUNTHER feels like the most likely candidate to face Brock in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota at WWE SummerSlam 2026.
