The October 14 AEW Dynamite and Collision will serve as the final episode before the WrestleDream 2026 pay-per-view.

Before the company heads to Orlando, there could be some changes that will have ramifications on what fans see on October 17.

From stables showing cracks to the PPV lineup becoming clearer, AEW has the chance to shift things forward heading into WrestleDream this Saturday.

Here are four changes to AEW Dynamite before WrestleDream 2026

Clockwork Carnage field set

AEW WrestleDream Clockwork Carnage rules

On the October 14 AEW Dynamite and Collision, there will be five final Clockwork Carnage qualifying matches.

Two of these bouts will be for championship gold as Kazuchika Okada will defend the AEW International Championship against Myron Reed and Darby Allin vs. Hechicero for the TNT Title.

Elsewhere, Konosuke Takeshita will face Brian Cage, Ricochet will battle Ace Austin and Adam Copeland returns to square off with Josh Alexander.

Following these matches, the field will be set for the AEW WrestleDream 2026 Clockwork Carnage with all five winners moving on to join Will Ospreay, Samoa Joe and Speedball Mike Bailey in the main event for this Saturday’s show.

More dissension within Triangle of Madness

At AEW All Out 2026, Thekla defeated Willow Nightingale to become the number one contender for the AEW Women’s World Championship at WrestleDream.

During the course of this bout, Sisters of Sin tried to help their Triangle of Madness stablemate get the win, but Julia Hart accidentally nailed Thekla with the Artist of Stardom Title.

While this did not backfire and cost her the win, this could have been foreshadowing for more issues within Triangle of Madness.

With Thekla teaming with Sisters of Sin against Mercedes Monè and Divine Dominion on the October 14 AEW Dynamite and Collision, there could more dissension teased within the Triangle of Madness heading into WrestleDream 2026.

Dani Luna turns heel

Dani Luna became the latest star to sign with All Elite Wrestling with her debut at All Out 2026.

Answering Persephone’s TBS Championship Open Challenge, the former TNA Knockouts took the champion to the limit before coming up short.

Now, Luna will make her AEW Dynamite and Collision debut on the October 14 episode when she teams with Hyan against Persephone and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.

Another loss against Persephone could lead to Luna turning heel and attacking Hyan to show her true colors in AEW.

Will Ospreay & Andrade El Idolo can’t co-exist

One of the top matches announced for the October 14 AEW Dynamite and Collision will see Will Ospreay teaming with Andrade El Idolo to face Samoa Joe and Tommaso Ciampa.

While they are both United Empire members, there has been some underlying tension between Ospreay and El Idolo since Andrade won the Casino Gauntlet at All In London to earn a shot at the AEW World Title.

With these two men teaming on this week’s show, there could be some dissension within the United Empire.

Andrade and Ospreay not being able to co-exist could tease their future AEW World Championship match is coming sooner rather than later.
