WWE
The men’s and women’s WWE Speed Championships are no more, so what better time to look at their lineage since being introduced?
Introduced on March 27, 2024, the WWE Speed Championship was initially contested in short matches as part of a partnership with X (the social media platform known as Twitter). August would see the introduction of the Women’s Speed Championship.
Last year’s Heatwave saw both title brought into the NXT fold, with the WWE Speed show being “quietly dropped” as a concept.
With both titles now retired as of September 1, the men’s title retires with seven champions to its name, while the women’s acquired just four.
The Men’s WWE Speed Champions (In Order)

Ricochet
Now an AEW star, Ricochet’s WWE Speed Championship reign started on May 3, 2024, ending on June 14. He defeated Johnny Gargano in the tournament to determine the inaugural champion.
Andrade
Andrade is another current AEW star whose previous run in WWE saw him defeat Ricochet for the WWE Speed Championship on June 14, holding the title for 159 days until November 20.
Dragon Lee
Very much in the era of long reigns, Dragon Lee defeated Andrade on November 20 and would remain champion until May 7, 2025, amassing a reign of 167 days.
El Grande Americano
May 7 would kick of El Grande Americano’s reign, with Chad Gable suffering a legitimate injury that would see the title pass to Ludwig Kaiser on June 30. As the WWE Speed show moved from X to NXT in August, Americano would continue as champion until November 11, with a 188-day reign.
Jasper Troy
A shorter reign for the first WWE star to hold the championship exclusively as an NXT title, Jasper Troy would be champion from November 11 to February 24, 2026.
Elio LeFleur
Much was made when Aigle Blanc signed with WWE, debuting as Elio LeFleur on NXT and becoming Speed Champion with a victory over Jasper Troy in a Triple Threat match also featuring Eli Knight on February 24. LeFleur would be forced to vacate the title due to injury after just 34 days on March 31, being the shortest reign in the championship’s history. The star would undergo successful surgery, although is yet to make an in-ring return.
Lexis King
A tournament to determine the new WWE Speed Champion would see EK Prosper and Lexis King face off at NXT Revenge on April 21. It would be King who would be the victor, heading into a 133-day reign that ended with the WWE Speed Championship being retired on September 1.

Candice LeRae
With a win over IYO SKY in the tournament to determine the inaugural champion, Candice LeRae would hold the title from October 9, 2024 until April 16 the following year, achieving a 188-day reign.
Sol Ruca
Between April 16 and October 28, the Women’s Speed Championship would move from X to NXT, with Sol Ruca as champion for 195 days, vacating the title due to a knee injury.
Fallon Henley
NXT Gold Rush Night 2 on November 25, 2025 saw Fallon Henley defeat Zaria in the tournament to determine the new champion, with the match going longer than its five-minute time limit at the instruction of NXT general manager Ava. Henley would hold the title for 111 days until March 17.
Wren Sinclair
March 17 would see Wren Sinclair become WWE Speed Champion, leading to a unification match at Heatwave on August 30 that would bring together the title with the Women’s North American Championship. That match, a Winner Takes All Triple Threat, would see Zaria defeat Sinclair and Kali Armstrong to unify her Women’s North American Championship and its Speed counterpart.
Wren Sinclair is recognised as the final WWE Women’s Speed Championship according to the official title history page, with a 165 day reign.
