WWE NXT saw a Bloodline family member called “bottom of the barrel” by another star when it comes to a main roster move.
Coming off the back of a loss in the NXT Champion Fatal Four-Way, with Grayson Waller being victorious at Heatwave, Zilla Fatu competed in his first WWE singles match, defeating Tristan Angels.
Left a touch bloodied by the bout, Fatu would be confronted by Birth Right, attempting to recruit the star, with Charlie Dempsey commenting that the star would be “bottom of the barrel” on the main roster with the likes of Roman Reigns, The Usos, Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa being ahead of him.
Fatu wouldn’t take kindly to the offer to join Birth Right, laying Lexis King before narrowly avoiding the other members and escaping the situation.
With Birth Right brimming with talent, it’s entirely possible that they may be in line for a main roster call-up of their own.
Lexis King
The son of the late Brian Pillman, Lexis King has previously addressed the challenges of being a second-generation wrestler in WWE.
Known to AEW fans as Brian Pillman, Jr, the star signed with WWE in August 2023, heading to NXT thereafter. An NXT Heritage Cup holder, King is the last star to hold the Men’s Speed Championship.
A solid in-ring star, with charisma to carry him forward, a main roster call-up should be inevitable for the star.
Uriah Connors
A former member of Chase U, Uriah Connors joined forces with Lexis King earlier this year, having aligned with Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Arianna Grace.
The son of WWE assistant coach and producer Fit Finlay, Connors is a fourth-generation wrestler who signed his first deal back in December 2023. Despite the family connection, he’s remained in NXT and, despite being prominently featured, is yet to hold a championship.
A move to the main roster would be the evolution of the star, potentially with another member of Birth Right by his side. Connors could have seen his brother, David Finlay, join him on that journey had the star not opted to sign with AEW.
Charlie Dempsey
Another star with a father signed to WWE, Charlie Dempsey is the son of William Regal, a man who needs little introduction.
Signed to a contract in January 2021, Dempsey would initially compete in NXT UK before moving to NXT itself the following year. A two-time NXT Heritage Cup holder, Dempsey’s fortunes have seen him compete outside of WWE, with a successful tour of All Japan Pro Wrestling and appearances at GCW’s Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport demonstrating his quality.
Since his debut, Dempsey has grown as a star, but perhaps would be best suited by letting his actions speak louder than his words. A gifted in-ring technician, Dempsey carries a lot of traditional British wrestling to the ring, something that could make him stand out on the main roster.
Arianna Grace
A former Knockouts World Champion and the “liaison between NXT and TNA Wrestling”, Arianna Grace can claim her place in Birth Right as the daughter of Santino Marella.
With Grayson Waller previously cutting a promo in which he stated the women’s NXT roster were ‘running laps’ around the men, Kevin Owens would share similar sentiments. While no names were mentioned, it’s not beyond reason to see Grace graduating from NXT and making her way to the main roster.
Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo
Like Grace, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo has held a title in TNA Wrestling, being a former International Champion.
Signed to WWE in March 2022, Lorenzo is a two-time NXT Tag Team Champion (with Tony D’Angelo) and was the final star to hold the NXT Heritage Cup.
Unlike other members of Birth Right, his heritage is not based on being a multi-generational star, with his connection being through his real-life fiancée, the aforementioned Ariana Grace.
A repackaging could work on the main roster, with Lorenzo moving away from the “Stacks” name and history.
All For One, One For All?
Moving to the main roster is no doubt the goal of many NXT stars, with Tony D’Angelo previously commenting on continuing his growth in preparation for that moment.
The lineage of Birth Right (and of Zilla Fatu, for that matter) could make any of its members a shoo-in for a main roster move, yet allowing them to develop in NXT is likely crafting them into the type of star that can be used on Raw or SmackDown.
Whether Birth Right would move as an entire faction, feuding with the likes of The Bloodline, The Vision, Judgment Day or Royce Keys & OTM, remains to be seen.
