Future Plans For The Four Pillars Of AEW

The ‘Four Pillars’ remain under contract with AEW, but all in different places on their respective journeys.

Following the events of All In: London, only one is a current title holder, in the form of Darby Allin as three-time TNT Champion.

All four have shown their popularity in AEW, regardless of whether they have had a championship or not.

With multiple titles changing hands at All In: London, opportunities exist for the Four Pillars to stake a claim to the future once again, but what direction could they take?

MJF

At All In: London, MJF came up short in the Casino Gauntlet, leading to Andrade El Idolo claiming the future World Championship opportunity.

For MJF, however, it’s highly likely a World Championship will be in his future and the idea of The Salt of the Earth taking on Will Ospreay is a tantilizing one.  They crossed paths previously, with MJF losing and then regaining the American Championship from the star in the space of weeks back in 2024.

Sammy Guevara

He competed in the first-ever singles match in AEW history back at Double or Nothing in 2019, and has gone on to be a three-time TNT Champion, yet Sammy Guevara has been absent from Dynamite or Collision since June of this year.

Still under AEW contract, Tony Khan has noted that issues with The Beast Mortos’ visa contributed to his absence. The latter was in action on the August 29 episode of Collision, taped in Glasgow, Scotland, having also appeared on ROH programming over the past few weeks.

Bringing Guevara and Mortos to AEW television as La Faccion Ingobernable could be a challenge for Cage and Cope, who retained against The Young Bucks at All In: London.

Darby Allin

A master of chaos, Darby Allin demonstrated why he deserves to be in the position he is with his victory over Kevin Knight for the TNT Championship.

Alongside Sammy Guevara, Allin stands alongside Wardlow as the only current AEW star to be a three-time TNT Champion, with Cody Rhodes being the other name.

It’s likely that Allin’s future will see a World Championship, although cementing his legacy over former TNT Champions could be a new direction for the star who continually proves himself as a top name in AEW.

Jack Perry

A former TNT Champion, National Champion and World Tag Team Champion, Jungle Jack Perry also failed to secure a win in the Casino Gauntlet at All In: London.

Signed to a new contract in July of this year, the star has made it clear that he “wants to be World Champion”, and such a match against Will Ospreay could serve as a testament to how far both stars have come since their early days, blending similarity of style, both athletic and aggressive, with the focus on being the top star in AEW.

But, Could The Grass Be Greener Elsewhere?

All under AEW contract at the time of writing, this doesn’t mean that any of them are under “forever deals”.

It’s difficult to see any of the four leaving AEW, the company that has made them the stars they are today, but there’s the possibility that outside opportunities could come knocking, contract permitting.

Allin and Guevara are the oldest of the quartet, at 33 years of age, with it being clear that all four have many years of active competition in front of them and likely great interest in how to get the best out of that future.
