On Saturday, June 27, WWE will return to Saudi Arabia for the Night of Champions 2026 premium live event, and Roman Reigns may once again be defending the World Heavyweight Championship.

Looking at the current landscape of the promotion, there could be any number of stars who step up to the plate to challenge “The OTC” for the top prize on Monday Night Raw, but whoever does will have a long night ahead of them come Riyadh.

Here are seven potential Roman Reigns WWE Night of Champions 2026 opponents.

7. LA Knight

Over the past few weeks, fans have seen LA Knight become very vocal about Roman Reigns and The Usos being up to their same tricks in The Bloodline.

After witnessing The Bloodline beat down Jacob Fatu three-on-one, Knight was quick to call out The Usos for doing exactly what brought them together against The Vision at WrestleMania 42.

On the May 25 edition of WWE Raw, Knight announced himself as the first participant in the King of the Ring tournament.

However, a loss in the tournament could lead to Knight skipping the line and going right after Reigns and the World Heavyweight Championship for the WWE Clash In Italy 2026 premium live event.

For the past few months, Sami Zayn has undergone an attitude shift, displaying a great deal of frustration due to his failure to win a world title and the fans seemingly turning on him.

While he has been a member of the Friday Night SmackDown roster for the past few months, Zayn might decide to rekindle some old Bloodline wounds with the reigning World Heavyweight Champion.

Back in 2023, Zayn challenged Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in his hometown of Montreal.

While he came up short on that night, Zayn might want to face off with “The OTC” one more time in his adopted home country of Saudi Arabia where the fans adore him at WWE Night of Champions 2026.

5. CM Punk

At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two, Roman Reigns defeated CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight Championship.

On the road to Mania, things got extremely personal and heated between Reigns and Punk.

While Punk has been absent from WWE Raw in recent weeks, it has been Roman who has been showing up week after week in direct contrast to how “The Best In The World” talked about “The Tribal Chief” ahead of Mania.

Punk’s return could set the stage for a major Mania rematch with Reigns that would certainly fit the bill as a worthy headliner for the WWE Night of Champions 2026 premium live event.

4. Drew McIntyre

Another WWE star fans have not seen on the company’s programming over the past month is Drew McIntyre.

At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night One, Jacob Fatu defeated McIntyre in an Unsanctioned Match.

This loss could see McIntyre insert himself in the Tribal Combat at WWE Clash In Italy to cost Fatu against Roman Reigns at the PLE.

McIntyre being the next to challenge Reigns would make a ton of sense considering their past with one another and how Roman’s last win over him was the catalyst for his heel turn many years back.

3. Brock Lesnar

After seemingly retiring before the fans’ eyes at WrestleMania 42, Brock Lesnar returned and attacked Oba Femi on the May 18 edition of WWE Raw.

Now at WWE Clash In Italy 2026, Lesnar will face Oba Femi in a big time singles showdown.

With a win over “The Ruler,” Lesnar could put himself in position to go back after the top prize in WWE right now.

“The Beast Incarnate” challenging Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship would be a massive main event for WWE Night of Champions 2026 that the fans in Riyadh will be happy to see.

2. Seth Rollins

When he returned at the start of 2026, Seth Rollins stated that one of his goals was to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship that he never lost.

Rollins suffered a serious shoulder injury that led to him having to relinquish the title in October 2025.

“The Visionary” has been mostly focused on his mission to destroy The Vision, but once he is able to vanquish the group he helped create, his focus should be on his former Shield brethren.

Considering he has always had Roman’s number in singles competition, it would make sense for Rollins to step up to the plate to challenge “The OTC” for the World Heavyweight Title at Night of Champions 2026.

Despite being embroiled in a feud with The Vision for several months in 2025, Reigns has never faced Breakker one-on-one.

Following his victory over Seth Rollins at WWE Backlash 2026, Breakker should find himself in line for an opportunity to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Breakker on a quest to bring gold to The Vision could lead to a tantalizing first time encounter with Reigns for the title at the WWE Night of Champions 2026 premium live event.
