Aalyah Mysterio is set to follow in the footsteps of both her father and brother and begin her in-ring career in WWE according to Rey Mysterio.
With Dominik Mysterio breaking out of his shell to become one of WWE’s top heel stars in recent years and a multi-time champion, fans have wondered whether Rey’s daughter Aalyah Mysterio could also make the jump to WWE and begin her own career in pro wrestling.
Last September, Rey confirmed that Aalyah had taken part in some in-ring training with him as he prepared to return from his groin injury that he suffered in April 2025, with the Hall of Famer saying that she “impressed him” given it was her first time doing so.
Now, nine months later, Rey has provided a major update on Aalyah’s WWE future during his appearance on The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under, revealing that she’s currently preparing to being her journey at the Performance Center after taking part in a full-time two week training program in Orlando earlier this year.
Rey said:
“Just recent news we’ve been going back-and-forth trying to see if Aalyah was motivated enough to go up to the PC and dedicate some time to training, like full-time. She tried it out one time with me last year October, she loved it, she just jumped in the ring once.
“I said ‘Ok, lets try and set you up to go up there for about two weeks, see if you can wake up every day and do this Monday through Friday, weekends off and then back again Monday through Friday. She did two weeks and she really loved it. I said ‘Ok, I wasn’t expecting that.’ And this was all prior to WrestleMania, the first one we had in Vegas, ‘Dad, when you taking me to the ring?’ ‘When you taking me to the ring?’ ‘When you graduate, I’ll take you to the ring.’
“So, she graduated in July of last year… Showed me her diploma, goes ‘Ok, I’m ready.’ Took her up in October of last year, she loved it, sent her again this year, February for two weeks, she loved it, and now we are in May, end of May and she’s getting ready to go up there and establish herself at the PC.”

Rey did not confirm whether Aalyah had been offered or signed to a WWE developmental deal as of yet, but we will provide any and all updates on her future in the company when they become available.
Rey Mysterio Looks Ahead To Potential “Historical Moment” Of Sharing A Ring With Dominik & Aalyah
While Rey Mysterio has already made history with his son Dominik in WWE, becoming the first-ever father and son duo to win the WWE Tag Team Championships in 2021, he’s eyeing up another “historical moment” should Aalyah also make it through WWE’s developmental system.
Commenting on the prospect, Rey said:
“I’m excited. If you had told me that your kids were going to grow up and become wrestlers, both of them, ‘I think you’re wrong.’ The cool thing is I’ve never pushed a sport down their throat, it’s all came out of them. They wanted to be a part of this.
“It’s going to be very interesting to see her development for the next year. But we were talking about this, if that really happens I would love to create some history. This is a historical moment, to be able to have shared the ring with my son, become the first father and son Tag Team Champions in WWE, and later on feud against each other and we’ve had our differences. But now with my daughter, what can we do there? This is a historical moment because I really don’t have that many accolades, just Hall of Fame, (AAA) GM (laughs).
“Overall, to think about a moment like that, and again, a lot of things happen throughout time and you kind of ‘Oh remember that time, or remember this historical moment?’ This will really make a stamp on, in general in wrestling itself. We’ve had so many dynasties of families in wrestling, the Von Erich’s, the Guerreros, in Mexico the Wagners, the Villanos, the Brazos, but I don’t know if there’s ever been a father wrestler that’s been able to share the ring with their son and their daughter at the same time, in the same match. That’d be crazy.”
