‘Huge Fire’ Near Wembley Stadium Ahead Of AEW All In: London

With AEW All In: London taking place on August 30, reports have emerged of a ‘huge fire’ near Wembley Stadium.

MyLondon has reported that 125 firefighters are currently tackling a fire near Wembley Stadium in London.

According to the report, London Fire Brigade was called to the fire on Friday morning at an industrial estate in Neasden, under a mile from Wembley Stadium.

‘Huge plumes of smoke’ were visible from the blaze, with over 70 calls being made to emergency services about the incident, with footage shared by BBC London News on Twitter.

The fire has affected travel in the region, with the Metropolitan Line suspending journeys and ‘no service between Willesden Green and Wembley Park on the Jubilee Line’. This has led to a knock on effect for London Underground, with ‘minor delays’.

A nearby Amazon Warehouse has been evacuated, with that facility not being on the same industrial unit as the fire itself.

The London Fire Brigade website provided further dertails of the fire in a status shared earlier today, reading:

“Twenty fire engines and around 125 firefighters are responding to a fire on Hannah Close, Neasden.

“Residents in the immediate area should close doors and windows, remaining inside where possible, due to the large amount of smoke being produced.

“The fire is located at a mixed waste facility, and an industrial unit approximately 100m by 150m is currently alight. Three of the Brigade’s 32m ladders have been mobilised to the scene as part of our response, alongside the Brigade’s Drone Team.

“Firefighters have also deployed a Hose Laying Unit and High Volume Pump to the scene. This will increase the amount of water available to firefighters as they work to bring the fire under control.

“Tube services on the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines will be impacted as crews respond. Rail services into London Marylebone are also disrupted as a result of this fire.

“The Brigade’s Control Room took the first of over 70 calls reporting the fire at 1134. Crews from Wembley, Park Royal, Willesden and surrounding fire stations have been mobilised to the scene.

“The cause of the fire is not yet known.”

An earlier report also notes that “no patients are being treated”, according to a spokesperson for London Ambulance Service.

At the time of writing, Wembley Stadium hasn’t commented on the incident, with their recent tweet hyping up AEW All In on Sunday.
