AEW Star ‘Inspired’ By Big All In: London Matches

An AEW star has revealed that they feel ‘inspired’ by two of the matches taking place at All In: London, taking place on August 30.

With the AEW pay-per-view just days away, Lee Moriarty has shared his thoughts on two marquee matches taking place this Sunday.

Speaking to Fox News OutKick, the star looked at the history of Will Ospreay vs. Kenny Omega and Willow Nightingale vs. Mercedes Mone, saying:

“I would definitely say the two big marquee matches are AEW Men’s and AEW Women’s Championship matches.

“Both Kenny Omega versus Will Ospreay just because of the history they’ve had through the years. And one of my all-time favorite matches I’ve ever watched was at Forbidden Door: Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay. I think it was in Canada at that time.

“And then we have Mercedes Moné against Willow Nightingale for the AEW Women’s World Championship. And their history going back to the New Japan Strong Championship and the TBS Championship.

“So, there’s just so much history between both of these competitors in each match and I think those are going to be really special and I’m looking forward to watching that and being inspired by it.”

Moriarty is absent from this year’s card, revealing what he felt he needed to do to get back onto the AEW pay-per-view, saying:

“I think it’s just going to take work like I’ve been doing.

“Continue to put in the work. A lot of professional wrestling is timing and preparation. I’m prepared. It’s just the timing thing and I’m going to get there. I do believe that.

“I’m going to continue to prove I am one of the best professional wrestlers when it comes to technical wrestling in the world. And right now, I’m the best pure wrestler on the planet.”

Not Everyone Can Be All In

Shane Taylor Promotions (Lee Moriarty, Carlie Bravo, Shane Taylor & Shawn Dean) featured at last year’s All In, taking place in Texas, with their match being on the Zero Hour pre-show, marking the only time Moriarty has appeared at All In.

The pay-per-view is arguably one of the top shows in the AEW calendar, with its return to London, England setting the standard for international events thanks to a stacked card. With suggestions that new stars may be debuting at Wembley Stadium, other stars naturally have to be omitted from the card.

Deciding which stars to feature from his growing roster is likely as much of a challenge for Tony Khan as it is for his counterparts in WWE. There’s only so many spots and many of them are occupied by the top names, whether they hold a championship or not. While fans may have their own view of who should be featured, it isn’t just the show itself that Khan will be looking to, knowing that there are going to be stories coming out of the upcoming event.

For Moriarty, he has a vision of how to get back on the All In card, and it’s a goal that others in AEW will likely share, increasing the competition.
