A title change took place during today’s AEW Forbidden Door 2025 pay-per-view at The O2 in London, England.

In a show that had seen four title retentions, it was the fifth title match on the show that played host to a title change.

In the AEW World Tag Team Championship match, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin of the Hurt Syndicate put the title on the line in a three-way against Brodido (Brody King and Bandido) and FTR’s Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood.

During the match, Lashley and Benjamin were attacked by three men in NJPW hoodies, essentially taking them out of the match.

The trio in the hoodies revealed themselves to be Ricochet and the Gates of Agony.

Back in the ring, it came down to Brodido and FTR, with Bandido ultimately scoring the win for his team by pinning Harwood, crowning Brodido the new AEW World Tag Team Champions.

This marks Bandido’s first AEW title – although he is currently ROH World Champion – and Brody King’s second as he has previously been a World Trios Champion with the House of Black.

FTR had Stokely Hathaway at ringside to no avail, while MVP was absent from the Hurt Syndicate’s corner.

The title retentions on the show so far to this point had included The Opps retaining the AEW World Trios Championship against Bullet Club War Dogs, and TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher retaining against Hiromu Takahashi.

Also, Mercedes Mone retained the TBS Championship in a four-way against Bozilla, Persephone and Alex Windsor, while Zack Sabre Jr retained the IWGP World Heavyweight Title against Nigel McGuinness.

Up next is the AEW Unified Championship match between Kazuchika Okada and challenger Swerve Strickland.
