
An absent AEW star has filed an application to trademark his ring name, per the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO).
AEW’s Wardlow has filed to trademark “WARDLOW”. Per the filing, Wardlow intends for this trademark to cover use in several categories including “entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests.”
The following description accompanied the filing:
Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer;
Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler, athlete, and sports entertainer;
Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler, athlete, and sports entertainer; Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestler, athlete, and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes
Wardlow hasn’t wrestled in over a year, last wrestling at the March 2024 Dynamite: Big Business event. He unsuccessfully challenged for Samoa Joe’s AEW World Championship at this event.
