Big Name Says There Is ‘A Lot Of Opportunity’ To Return To WWE WWE

Heavyweight Boxing Champion Tyson Fury has made numerous appearances for WWE in recent years.

Fury wrestled at WWE Crown Jewel in 2019, when he defeated Braun Strowman by countout in his first match for the company.

Fury also played a key role in Clash at the Castle in Cardiff last year, when he knocked out Austin Theory, foiling his attempt to cash in during the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship main event between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre.

While it was Reigns who came out on top on the night, Fury hit the ring where he and McIntyre sang American Pie to close the night.

Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Tyson Fury was asked about a potential future in WWE after his boxing career comes to an end.

He said:

“I’ve been doing this for 15 years, which is a long time. I know it won’t last forever. And it’s true, I’ve had a few good stints in WWE. There is still a lot of opportunity there.”

Fury continued on, noting that he is still busy with boxing right now, but kept the door open for the future.

He added:

“It’s an amazing experience there. At the moment, I’m very busy with boxing. I’m still active and on top of my chosen profession, so this is where my focus will be. After that, we’ll see.”

Fury is set for a crossover fight against former UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou on October 28.
