Carmelo Hayes Reacts To Trick Williams WWE NXT Championship Win

Carmelo Hayes has reacted to Trick Williams winning the WWE NXT Championship on tonight’s night one of NXT Spring Breakin’.

After Trick Williams was able to beat Ilja Dragunov to become the new NXT Champion, his former friend turned bitter rival Carmelo Hayes reacted.

Taking to Twitter to share simply a photo in lieu of any worded sentiments, Melo posted a picture of himself and Trick shaking hands in the ring from the early days of NXT 2.0 when the duo first formed an alliance.

Back in better days between the pair, the nod of respect seems clear. You can see the post below.

While Melo seemingly finished his time in NXT last week, losing in a steel cage match against Trick Williams, it remains to be seen which brand may capture him in the 2024 WWE Draft.

Making an appearance on tonight’s episode alongside NXT GM Ava was Raw GM Adam Pearce live and in-person, with SmackDown GM Nick Aldis appearing via video.

Both Raw and SmackDown management noted that they had their eyes on NXT stars in the draft.

After Ilja Dragunov previously announced his entry into the 2024 WWE Draft, it certainly seems that he is being called up to the main roster imminently.

Elsewhere on tonight’s night one of NXT Spring Breakin’, Roxanne Perez successfully defended her NXT Women’s Championship against both Tatum Paxley and Lyra Valkyria.
