‘Changing Of The Guard’ Expected Backstage In WWE Under Triple H WWE

Since Triple H took over WWE’s creative team, his influence has been very obvious, with several released stars returning to WWE, and now it looks like a number of changes will be happening backstage.

It was revealed earlier this week that Road Dogg (Brian James) had been re-hired by WWE, and will now be serving at Senior Vice President of Live Events, replacing Jeff Jarrett, who departed the company in recent days.

According to Dave Meltzer, we can expect to see something of a “changing of the guard” backstage in WWE.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, he said:

“Bruce Prichard brought Jarrett in – convinced Vince McMahon to hire him for Senior Vice President of Live Events. And Vince is no longer in charge, and Road Dogg (Brian James) is Triple H’s team, so he hired him, weeks after Brian James was mad at Tony Khan for not hiring him.

“His (Jarrett’s) department, which was house shows, have increased greatly. So, it’s like, man, your department went way, way up and you got the boot. But that’s just the nature of the beast.

“I think a lot of people who are not Paul Levesque’s people are probably feeling a bit nervous, and it’s gonna be a changing of the guard – it’s just how it’s gonna be. It was always gonna be that way.”

Meltzer didn’t mention who else could be brought in, or perhaps who could be leaving WWE, but it may be a nervous few weeks for some of Vince McMahon’s old favourites.
