Could Sasha Banks Return On August 5 SmackDown?

Could Sasha Banks be returning on tomorrow night’s August 5, 2022 edition of WWE SmackDown? Let’s get to sleuthing in an unlikely place.

While word broke on Monday that Sasha Banks and Naomi would be returning to WWE, the closest to confirmation anyone got from WWE was a promo code tease on shopWWE. 

As there remains no official confirmation of their returns, let’s examine a bit of evidence scoured from around an unlikely source: the website and social media accounts of the Los Angeles Rams football team.

An event at their training camp is a celebrity flag football game which Mercedes Varnado was advertised to appear at previously however eagle eyed fans noticed she was removed from the adverts for the event.

With her name disappearing from an Instagram story announcement for the event, she is not featured in any current listing of celebrities expected to appear at the event.

We will have to stay tuned throughout Friday to see if WWE would announce a return in advance or whether Sasha Banks is returning at all.
