An independent wrestler has reacted to fans chanting his name during a recent WWE show, amid speculation about him potentially joining the company.
With former NXT Champion Ricky Saints attacking Zilla Fatu at Reality of Wrestling’s SubZero show in December, there have been rumors swirling about Zilla potentially signing with WWE.
With fans in attendance chanting Zilla’s name in a Ricky Saints segment on the January 6 NXT New Year’s Evil show, the son of late WWE star Umaga has now commented on this crowd reaction.
Speaking with Denise Salcedo, Zilla said:
It felt great. It felt so great, it was a humbling experience for me and my team. When I first started, I didn’t know where my career was going to end up.
It’s just so mind-blowing that when you turn the TV on and hear them chanting my name. I didn’t know that until the day after, when all my friends and family were sending me videos of the fans screaming my name on NXT.
It was definitely a humbling experience and not only that, it was special to me.
