Big Update On John Cena Potential Role At WWE WrestleMania 40 WWE

A new report has revealed a big update on former 16-time WWE Champion John Cena’s potential role at WrestleMania 40.

Despite not having a match scheduled for either night of the show, John Cena has been mentioned on several occasions as a possible big name that may make a surprise appearance at WrestleMania 40.

Cena hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since losing to Solo Sikoa in convincing fashion at Crown Jewel 2023.

While many fans have speculated about Cena getting involved in The Bloodline’s huge matches at the Showcase of the Immortals, it seems like it might not be how fans may have envisioned his role.

Per PWInsider, John Cena getting physically involved in the action will likely be off the board for most of the remainder of 2024.

The report notes that Cena will be filming the second season of the popular DC series, “Peacemaker” from June through November in the Atlanta area.

The current shooting schedule is slated to end around Thanksgiving time for “Peacemaker” Season 2.

The first season of the hit show was considered a massive success for DC and Max. “Peacemaker” writer and director James Gunn has since taken over DC Studios for WBD and is currently directing the next Superman film as well.

The “Peacemaker” series explored the main character’s background and what happens to him after his role in the “Suicide Squad” film, while he also attempts to prevent an alien invasion.
