A new update has emerged on the WWE status of John Cena following his appearance on the Raw after WrestleMania.
John Cena appeared unannounced on the show, teaming with The Awesome Truth against Judgment Day.
Cena had previously appeared in the main event of WrestleMania 40 to help Cody Rhodes overcome the Bloodline.
Highlights from the Raw match can be seen below this news story, with the new Raw Tag Team Champions and Cena being victorious.
According to a report from Fightful Select, however, this may be the last time we see Cena, at least for a while. Fightful reports:
“John Cena is expected to be gone from WWE programming again.”
Cena is set to film Peacemaker season two in “less than two months” according to comments made by James Gunn and shared on Twitter.
On the Pat McAfee Show, Cena confirmed that he would be going straight from the action-comedy movie Heads of State starring Idris Elba and Priyanka Chopra to Peacemaker Season 2.
Filming for Peacemaker Season 2 will, according to Cena, take him up to “almost Christmas”, as can be seen in the clip below this news story, but he is hoping for another WWE run after that.
Cena isn’t the only movie star who is departing WWE for the time being, with The Rock also confirming he’ll be away for a while on the April 8 episode of WWE Raw.
