Kris Statlander has addressed Hikaru Shida’s attack on her at AEW Double or Nothing, challenging her to a Philly Street Fight on Dynamite.

Since Hikaru Shida made her return to AEW television back on April 1, she has formed an alliance with Kris Statlander, with the two recently beginning to have tension following their loss to Divine Dominion on Dynamite.

The pair were both part of the AEW Women’s World Championship four-way at Double or Nothing alongside Jamie Hayter and Thekla, with Thekla pinning Statlander to retain the title.

During the match, Statlander had the match won, only for her to be hit over the back with a Kendo Stick, leading to the two getting into a brawl.

She said:

“Shida, when I got cracked from behind with that kendo stick, I knew it was you. That didn’t hurt, I liked it, and now, I want to do it all over again. And, we’re gonna be in the perfect place.

“So Wednesday, my dear friend; me, you and a Philly Street Fight!”

AEW Women’s World Championship Plans At All In

While there are a number of matches on the men’s side seemingly already being teased for AEW All In London in August, there are a number of potential options for the women’s side, which only opened up further following Willow Nightingale’s injury.

Willow was considered to be the favourite to win the Women’s Owen Hart Tournament, which would set her up for a match against the World Champion at All In, which will now no longer happen due to her injury pulling her from the tournament.

With Willow out, the favourite for this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Tournament right now would be Athena, depending on who gets announced as the Wild Card in place of Willow.

With Mercedes Mone being off AEW television since the turn of the new year, this would be a likely place for her to return and win the tournament, with the only issue being that she left as a heel, and Thekla is also currently a heel.
