Two major AEW stars appear to be set to take some time away from wrestling following the Full Gear 2023 pay-per-view.

At the November 18 event, Matt and Nick Jackson of the Young Bucks faced off against Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho, with the Young Bucks’ AEW Tag Team Title shot on the line.

Omega and Jericho ultimately won, leading to Matt and Nick Jackson throwing a tantrum after the bout, destroying the ringside area.

AEW’s Brandon Cutler has now taken to Twitter to state that the AEW EVPs will be stepping away from the ring for some time following this defeat.

Cutler wrote:

I am being told that the Young Bucks will be taking some time away from wrestling. People close to Matt and Nick’s camp are asking for privacy during this time.

Chris Jericho has confirmed that he required ten stitches following this tag-team bout.

It appears that Omega and Jericho will now feud with Ricky Starks and Big Bill, who defended their AEW Tag Team Championship in a four way ladder match at Full Gear.
