Further supporting those reports, Rousey was caught having dinner with Triple H in LA two weeks ago by TMZ, which The Game later confirmed to ESPN: “We are talking to Ronda, as we’ve been for a while.”
Keep that quote in mind when compared to Hunter’s response to CBS Sports just a month earlier about the Ronda to WWE rumors: “that’s news to me because I’m the one who would be having that conversation.”
Triple H is, of course, playing the game. And we wouldn’t have it any other way. But it’s certainly something to be mindful of when considering what Rousey told TMZ yesterday about a potential Royal Rumble appearance:
“I’m actually leaving to Colombia right now to finish shooting ‘Mile 22’ and won’t be back until mid February… no, I haven’t signed anything regardless of what anyone’s said. No pen to paper for me.”
Mile 22 is an action movie starring Mark Wahlberg, which is actually filming in Colombia. But whether that really rules Ronda out of Sunday’s Rumble match remains to be seen.

The ‘smart money’ – bets placed by people with actual insider knowledge – doesn’t come in until just hours before pay-per-views start, so take the new Royal Rumble betting favorites with a large grain of salt… and also possibly a pillow to scream into.
Because Oddschecker is listing Roman Reigns as the current favorite to win the Rumble match, followed by Shinsuke Nakamura, John Cena, Braun Strowman and Finn Balor. Daniel Bryan meanwhile – who jumped into the Top 5 from outta nowhere last week – has slipped back down to 50/1.
