The debut match for a new WWE signing has been officially announced after recently receiving their new ring name.
WWE made it’s most recent signings for the NXT brand back in January, signing numerous independent talents who had attended recent tryouts at the WWE Performance Center.
One of the names signed was 19 year old former DPW Worlds Champion Jay Malachi, now going by his new ring name Je’Von Evans.
Evans made his in-ring debut for WWE at a recent NXT Level Up taping, when he took on Brooks Jensen in singles action.
WWE has now officially announced that Evans’ debut match against Jensen is set to air on this week’s episode of NXT Level Up (February 16).
Additionally, the hard-hitting Jensen has won three of his last four singles bouts and looks to keep rolling against Evans, an intriguing and flashy newcomer who will be competing in his first match.
This week’s episode of NXT Level Up will also see former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Gigi Dolin take on Izzi Dame.
