Despite being tucked away in Ring of Honor for most of the year Eddie Kingston is set to receive a major spotlight this summer when he competes in his very first NJPW G1 Climax.
The field for this year’s tournament was unveiled courtesy of the NJPW official website, with veteran names such as Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tetsuya Naito joining debutants such as Kingston, Shota Umino and Hikuleo.
The tournament will take place over 19 events, beginning on Saturday, July 15 and Sapporo and running until Sunday, August 13 in Ryogoku.
