Inactive Star Takes Up New Role In WWE? WWE

An inactive WWE star may have perhaps taken up a new role in the company’s weekly TV production, as a new report reveals an increase of their presence recently.

Titus O’Neil has featured very sporadically on WWE TV in recent years, instead transitioning into a global ambassador role rather than competing in the ring.

That role has involved O’Neil doing a lot of charity work and other WWE community activities.

However, that may have changed, or be about to change, as Fightful Select notes that the former WWE Tag Team Champion has been at WWE TV “a lot more of late”.

While it’s unclear what exactly O’Neil has been doing whilst at TV, we have seen a glimpse of him recently, providing commentary alongside Corey Graves and Kevin Patrick for the Viking Rules match on the July 17 Monday Night Raw.

Similarly at April’s WrestleMania, O’Neil popped up to contribute to commentary on two matches across both night one and two of the Los Angeles event – those being the men’s four-way tag team match, and the Intercontinental Title three-way between Gunther, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus.

O’Neil’s last match on WWE TV came in November 2020, facing off with Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship in what was of course a losing effort.

Despite almost three years out the ring, O’Neil has claimed as recently as last year that he was in fact not retired, so perhaps this new presence on TV may equate to an in-ring return, although he has had some injury issues.
