Rob Van Dam has reacted to a claim that he “did WWE wrong” by making appearances for AEW Dynamite recently.
Van Dam first appeared on the August 2 Dynamite, being revealed by AEW producer Jerry Lynn as Jack Perry’s first opponent in his reign as FTW Champion for the following week’s August 9 Dynamite.
RVD was unsuccessful in his attempt to knock off Perry, however, did receive plaudits both within AEW and from his former peers for his impressive performance.
However, it seems as if some fans online were not overly keen on RVD crossing over to AEW, something that led the former WWE Champion to respond on Twitter, writing:
Some fans are saying I did WWE wrong by appearing on AEW.
I wonder if they would all eat s**t f I revealed that I had permission to do it?
Or would they just move on to puke out the next meaningless bullshit that comes out of their mouths?
Yeah, I figured. I’ll keep it to my self for now.
RVD’s AEW debut was planned to be a one-off however, Rob did reveal that the door is open for him tor return in the future.
What may play a part is RVD’s plans with WWE which reportedly include him playing a role for the company over WrestleMania 40 weekend in Philadelphia next year.
